Policies and Procedures and Guidelines Governing the Political Action Committee/Legislative Committee
- The Political Action Committee shall review each candidate’s questionnaire and voting records, the nature of the political race, and the viability of the candidate in order to determine endorsements. After the endorsement process, the Political Action Committee shall review each race again in order to rank the effectiveness of a contribution to determine if a contribution should be made. - It shall take a majority vote of the Political Action Committee to disburse funds and all committee members shall be notified, if possible, about the possible contributions.
- The Political Action Committee shall meet upon the call of the chairman of the committee.
- The State Offices of Representative, Senator and Governor shall be the only campaigns contributed to. No party caucus shall receive Political Action funds.

- The chairman of the committee shall make periodic reports at all Executive Board meetings and State Conventions of the association. [Legislative Committee June 11, 2009] Murfreesboro, TN
- Disbursements from the Political Action Committee shall be up to a maximum allowed by State of Tennessee. [State Convention October 3, 2009]
- All member locals of the State Association are to report all contributions to candidates for State Office to the State Association. [Legislative Committee October 29, 1996]
- The Legislative Committee shall present to the Executive Board a record of their vote on the endorsement of individual candidates. [October 23, 1992, Clarksville, TN]
- All state legislation will be drafted and submitted to the locals each year by the president as soon as it is available. [June 11, 2009], Murfreesboro, TN
- Endorsements and contributions are contingent on respective locals having veto power. [Executive Board July 16, 1998]
