National 9/11 Flag Coming To Tennessee

The National 9/11 Flag will be on display in Nashville on July 2, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. (this is a one day event only). The flag will be flown at the Capitol in honor of every firefighter killed in the line-of-duty in Tennessee. This flag will become part of the National 9/11 Flag. Tennessee firefighters and their families will take part in the event by having the opportunity to sew a stitch into the flag.
The flag will be displayed inside the Hilton Hotel Downtown across from the Country Music Hall of Fame. Nashville Fire Fighters Association Local 140 would like to get the information out to anyone that can come and support the FDNY by adding a stitch to sew the flag back together before it goes back to New York on the 10th anniversary of 9/11. This event is open to the public.
Any Tennessee Fire Department Honor Guards that would like to participate should contact Travis Ford, Nashville Fire Fighters Association Local 140 at 615-243-5149 or travis.ford@nashville.gov.
