Assistant Chief Bobby Edwards’ family are requesting the Nashville Fire Department Family keep him in our prayers.  He has been moved to Jubilee Hills Senior Living, 322 Northcreek Blvd, Goodlettsville, TN 37072, Room 2215, and is not doing well.  He’s under hospice care, but visitors are still welcome

TPFFA ANNOUNCES OFFICER ELECTION RESULTS After 16 years of service as President of the Tennessee Professional Fire Fighters Association (TPFFA), Brother Eddie Mitchell has retired from his role as President.  Following his announced retirement, elections were held at the TPFFA’s Biennial Convention held this week in Chattanooga.

Ambulances left waiting hours to drop off patients at Memphis hospitals, firefighters’ union says

(2020-12-29) From WREG: Some ambulances have been forced to wait as long as 12 hours outside Memphis hospitals to drop off patients, according to the Memphis Fire Fighters Association.

(2020-12-23) Your union was recently informed that it won another arbitration case.  This case was filed on behalf of Driver Darriun McAdory, Engine 41.  Driver McAdory was suspended for 12 hours for an auto accident that occurred in June 2019.  Engine 41 was struck by a civilian vehicle while enroute to a call.

(2020-11-25) Your union was recently informed that it won an arbitration case filed on behalf of Lt. Tim Scott, Engine 26. Lt. Scott was suspended for 24 hours for an incident that occurred in September 2019.  A hearing was held in December 2019 on Lt.

Memphis Citizens Pass Historic Sales Tax Increase

Memphis citizens voted on October 3rd to pass a one half percent sales tax increase to fund retirement and health insurance benefits for firefighters and police officers.  This culminates a year and a half campaign by the Memphis Fire Fighters Association and the Memphis Police Association.
