Memphis Citizens Pass Historic Sales Tax Increase 12/20/19 - Memphis Fire Fighters Association Memphis citizens voted on October 3rd to pass a one half percent sales tax increase to fund retirement and health insurance benefits for firefighters and police officers.  This culminates a year and a half campaign by the Memphis Fire Fighters Association and the Memphis Police Association.

Dues Increase/Meeting tonight 01/02/17 - IAFF Local 3748 Gentlemen, I hope everyone had a good christmas and new year! I wanted to give everyone an update on our dues increase vote, we had last month. The motion of raising dues $6.00 with no increase for 5 years PASSED. Memphis Fire Fighters Association Donates to Burn Center 12/09/16 - Memphis Fire Fighters Association The Memphis Fire Fighters Association Foundation donated $25,000 to the Fire Fighters Burn Center at Regional One Health.  The donation was from proceeds from the annual golf tournament held for the Burn Center.

We have a motion  "to increse monthly union dues by $6.00 each month with no dues increase for 5 years." This has to go to vote by the membership.
